SOUTH TYNESIDE COLLEGE - maintenance and refurbishment

OPUS are delighted that we have won the three-year contract: “We regularly work in the education sector, but this contract win allows us to develope our systems and processes in further education field.

We’ll be working on all of the college’s campuses and sites, most of which we already know really well through our previous work with the college.

The college is currently implementing its fifth refurbishment project since 2010 as it looks to further improve its facilities and learning experience. Opus’s contract will include electrical, heating, water, plumbing and building maintenance as well as maintenance for the college’s air conditioning and ventilation systems. It also includes painting, plastering and decorating.

Established as a Marine School in 1861, South Tyneside College has been providing education and training for more than 150 years. The college caters for several thousand part-time and full-time students over several sites – the main Westoe Campus; a Motor Vehicle Centre in Jarrow and the Marine and Offshore Training facility and the Fire Training Centre which are both on Shields riverside.
