Various members of the OPUS team are getting involved in activities in an attempt to raise funds for Sara’s Hope Foundation, a local charity started in memory of Sara who lost her battle with Cancer aged just 16. The charity runs a holiday retreat in Crete offering respite for children affected by cancer and their families, to give them a much needed break from hospitals and medical procedures and the chance to spend quality and happy times together.
OPUS recently entered the zip slide event, setting off from the roof if the Iconic Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art diagonally across the river Tyne to the Newcastle Quayside. Luckily those that couldn’t jump off themselves were helped along by their team members with a friendly push…!
We also have members taking part in this year’s Great North Run which will see its millionth finisher this year on behalf of the charity and are
hoping to raise a total of about £1000.00
